New Stamp Set with Matching Punch

I received some stuff from the new Idea Book & Catalog that demos were allowed to pre-order and finally got around to spend some time playing with it. Here is a quick & easy Christmas card I came up with:

Instructions:

1. Stamp pot in Cherry Cobbler.
2. Stamp tree in Old Olive
3. Stamp star in Daffodil Delight
4. Stamp an additional tree on a Whisper White scrap in Old Olive and punch it out.
5. Adhere punched tree over stamped tree with Stampin' Dimensionals.
6. Tie a small bow using Cherry Cobbler Baker's twine.
7. Adhere bow to tree trunk with Mini Glue Dot.
8. Gently rub Embossing Buddy on card front where sentiment will be stamped.
9. Ink up sentiment with VersaMark, then Cherry Cobbler ink.
10. Stamp sentiment on card front using Stamp-a-ma-jig to position where you want it.
11. Place card in Powder Pal and sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder.
12. Use Heat Tool to create embossed sentiment.
13. Stamp sentiment on interior of card.

Man Card

No, ,I don't have one, nor am I revoking anyone else's "Man Card." I just received some of the products from the new Summer Mini Catalog and had to show you the Not Quite Navy masculine card I made for my Wonderful son-in-law!

This sailboat stamp is sold individually for $9.95 and is called Sail Away. The sentiment set is from the set Wonderful Favorites, which is one of my all-time favorite sets and the background stamp is Sanded. This is one of the two projects we will be making in my monthly techniques class on Friday, May, 27th at 7:00. This card uses two techniques: paper piecing and heat embossing.

Petal Blossoms Class

In this class you’ll create a variety of gorgeous blossoms using the Blossom Petals punch. Added as embellishments to these four coordinating cards and purse - the whole set together creates a stunning spring-time gift set!

Owl-ways Thinking of You

I'm sorry, I had to go there with the pun.  I couldn't help myself.

Spooky Halloween Card

While doing a load of white laundry, I was inspired to try my hand at 'bleach stamping.'   I grabbed some Elegant Eggplant card stock, some bleach, and my 'From The Crypt' stamp set.  I made an 'inkpad' by pouring a little bleach onto a folded paper towel that I had placed in a plastic container.  I inked up the stamp and randomly stamped the image onto my eggplant card stock.  (You must rinse and clean the stamp immediately so the bleach doesn't damage the rubber.)  It was fun to watch the colors change as the bleach dried.  After the image was dry, I decided to add an embossed spider to the lower right-hand corner of the card.

Halloween Party Class

Last Friday, in my Halloween Party Class we made these cute Halloween Cupcake Picks. 
 
 
 We packaged them using the Top Note Die and Spider Web folder adding some shimmer paint for detail. 

 
 
Next, we made a box for some Halloween treats using two new products from the Holiday Mini Catalog: the Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die #120890 and the Spider Web textured Impressions Embossing Folder #120889.

If you look closely, you can see the embossed spider web on the box.

Long over-due

Today, I finally made, and personally delivered my daughter and son-in-law's second anniversary card.  I am embarrassed to admit it was long over-due, but I hope they think it was worth the wait.  So, not to keep you waiting as well, here it is:

It is a small card as the finished measurement is 3-1/4" x 4-3/8".  But it is just the right size to attach a gift card to the inside flap.  The stamp sets used were:  Cheers to You and Teeny Tiny Wishes (my new go-to sentiment set!).  I used the new Crumb Cake (previously known as Kraft) card stock for the card base with Soft Suede and Very Vanilla for my layers.  The stemware and the sentiment are both embossed using Versamark and Soft Suede ink with clear embossing powder.  I punched the sentiment out with my trusty Word Window Punch.  Dazzling Diamonds Glitter sprinkled over top of Crystal Effects added just the right amount of "bubbly" to the champagne.  The finishing touch was a little piece of Early Espresso 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and a small bow attached with a mini glue dot. 

I have a few more weddings to attend this summer and might just make a couple more of these and switch the sentiment to 'For the Newlyweds' from Teeny Tiny Wishes!
